Giving kiddush in Adat Jisrael
We truly appreciate that you want to give kiddush in our shul, it means a lot to us and our members!
You should reserve your date to give kiddush well in advance by email to info@adatjisrael.se. We will reply with contact details to our caterer and the person responsible for our weekly newsletter, so that your kiddush announcement can be included.
If you’re a member of the synagogue you can reserve the date here: Boka Kiddush.
All food and drinks must be kosher which means all cooked food must be ordered from our caterer. You may buy parve candy, sweets and drinks yourself. Please see link to the kosher list Kosherlistan by Rabbi Amster of the Jewish community of Stockholm.
Please note that candy to be thrown at a bar mitzva boy after his aliya must be parve. Please also note that chametz e.g. liquor not sold before Passover is not kosher after Passover.
You, or the caterer if you make such arrangements, are responsible for buying all food, drinks and other things necessary for the kiddush, such as disposable utensils.
Everything needed for shabbat or yom tov must be brought to the synagogue before shabbat or yom tov starts. Removal may be done only after shabbat or yom tov ends. You are, or via your caterer, responsible for cleaning the synagogue. Insufficient cleaning of the synagogue will result in a 1000 SEK surcharge.
You need to supply the synagogue with a guest list via e-mail to info@adatjisrael.se at least seven days in advance, and if needed help us identify the guests as they arrive.
During shabbat and yom tov, filming, photographing or sound recording is not permitted.
A warm welcome and best regards,
Rabbi Mattias Amster
Board of Adat Jisrael
